The discussion focused on the digital ecosystem (WP2) and the educational resources (WP3).

During the meeting, the partners reviewed the project’s progress and discussed the next key steps in developing the digital ecosystem and educational resources. Special attention was given to the structure of the daily educational cards, the micro-actions, the tests, the mechanisms for tracking personal progress, and the multilingual content.

Considerable attention was devoted to the structure of the educational content — the so-called “flashcards,” each of which combines a message, linked to a specific Sustainable Development Goal, a short question, and a suggestion for a specific action (micro-action). Issues related to the platform’s multilingual capabilities, gamification, and the possibility for instructors to create subject-specific educational content were also discussed.

A working environment for creating pilot educational cards was also demonstrated during the meeting. It allows the development of various visual templates, micro-actions, test questions, additional informational materials, and content related to specific academic disciplines. A model was discussed in which a core, expert-prepared text serves as a starting point for creating related educational elements with the help of artificial intelligence, followed by mandatory human review.

The partner from the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca demonstrated the developed test platform “smarthead-web,” which was positively received by all partners as a practical tool for creating the first pilot cards.

Results of the Student Survey

The partner from the Cyprus University of Technology presented the results of a survey conducted among 134 students from the four partner universities aiming to explore user expectations, ideas, and vision for the mobile application at the concept stage and of an additional test in which approximately 110 students participated, evaluating the visual design of the flashcards.

The results show that curiosity is the leading motive for students to use such an application, and that a minimalist and clear visual style with a short, direct message is preferred.

The partners discussed how the content could be made short, visually appealing, and action-oriented at the same time. The results of the surveys conducted among students show a preference for short texts and videos, daily challenges, visual cards, and the ability to track personal progress. The participants agreed on a minimalist and clear visual approach, with larger text, good contrast, and realistic images. Each card will be clearly linked to a specific Sustainable Development Goal (SDG).

Allocation of the Sustainable Development Goals Among Partners

During the meeting, an official allocation of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) among the four partner institutions was carried out.
